Peer Review Process

Manuscripts submitted will be evaluated by reviewers using the peer review method for contribution, originality, relevance, and presentation.

The editor will provide information on the results of the review in the shortest possible time, which is between 1 to 3 weeks. Please note that the review process for manuscripts submitted to the PIJAR Journal (Education and Teaching) will likely be reviewed for approximately 4 weeks. The editor will evaluate the submitted manuscripts according to the focus and scope of the PIJAR Journal (Education and Teaching). If a discrepancy is found with the focus and scope, the editor has the right to reject the submitted manuscript.

Reviewers review the manuscript from the aspect of quality and substance of writing (not the use of grammar), which includes renewal, originality, usability, and validity of citations and bibliographies.
The reviewer carries out the review process using the peer review method from the editor or editorial secretariat. If it is not in accordance with the competence and scientific field, the reviewer has the right to refuse and recommend the manuscript to other people who are more suitable.
The editorial board's decision is absolute and all submitted articles will be replied to via e-mail with the following decisions:
1. Accepted for publication
2. Accepted with slight revision
3. Accepted with major revision
4. Rejected / unpublishable

Based on the opinion of the editorial board in points 1 to 3, the manuscript can be assigned by the reviewer to carry out the article review stage, the editor will give the final decision to the author.
The manuscript revision period is one week and must be sent back to the editor through the OJS (Open Journal System). If the revised manuscript exceeds the specified limit given, it is considered resigned, the editor will reject the manuscript.

Using Peer Reviews

PIJAR: Pendidikan dan Pengajaran operates a blind peer-review system, where the reviewers are aware of the names and affiliations of the authors, but the reviewer reports provided to authors are anonymous. This manuscript will be sent to at least two anonymous reviewers.
