Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of organizational culture and work discipline on employee performance at PT. Bangunbina Prima Sarana in Serpong, South Tangerang, both partially and simultaneously. The study is grounded in organizational behavior and human resource management theories, which suggest that shared organizational values, norms, and employee discipline are important determinants of individual work behavior and performance. The research gap arises from the limited empirical evidence examining the combined contribution of organizational culture and work discipline to employee performance in the specific organizational context of PT. Bangunbina Prima Sarana, particularly in relation to observed workplace issues such as tardiness, unexcused absences, and suboptimal cooperation and responsibility among employees. This study employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive method. The population consisted of 80 employees, all of whom were selected as respondents using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through a questionnaire using a Likert scale and analyzed using SPSS version 25. The analytical procedures included validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, t-tests, F-test, and the coefficient of determination. The results indicate that organizational culture has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, as demonstrated by a t-value of 5.126, which exceeds the t-table value of 1.664, with a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. Work discipline also has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, with a t-value of 4.917 > 1.664 and a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. Simultaneously, organizational culture and work discipline have a positive and significant effect on employee performance, as indicated by an F-value of 12.975 > 3.14 and a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. The coefficient of determination (R²) is 25.2%, indicating that organizational culture and work discipline jointly explain 25.2% of the variance in employee performance, while the remaining 74.8% represents variance not explained by the variables included in the model. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening organizational culture and work discipline as part of human resource management efforts to improve employee performance.
