Plagiarism Screening

The International Journal of Management and Business Economics (IJMEBE) maintains strict standards regarding academic integrity, intellectual property, and research originality. The journal implements a comprehensive plagiarism screening procedure for every submitted manuscript prior to the peer-review process.

  • Screening Software & Tools:

All submitted manuscripts are systematically checked for originality and text similarity using Turnitin and professional plagiarism detection tools, complemented by manual cross-referencing and metadata verification via Google Scholar to trace potential overlap with previously published literature.

  • Similarity Threshold (Below 25%):

The maximum acceptable overall similarity index is less than 25% (excluding quotes, bibliography/references, and standard methodological terminology).

  • Editorial Action & Protocols:

    • Similarity ≤ 20%: The manuscript qualifies for the editorial evaluation and double-blind peer-review workflow.

    • Similarity 21% – 25%: The manuscript is returned to the author(s) for necessary revision, rigorous paraphrasing, and accurate citation prior to review assignment.

    • Similarity > 25%: The manuscript is subject to immediate rejection without review (desk rejection).

  • Substantial Plagiarism:

Any detected instance of verbatim copying without quotation marks, self-plagiarism (redundant/duplicate publication), or data appropriation constitutes severe scientific misconduct and will lead to outright rejection and potential notification of the authors' affiliated institutions.
