Abstract

Digital transformation has significantly changed the way organizations manage human capital, requiring employees to develop adaptive capabilities in responding to technological changes and dynamic business environments. Digital workforce agility has become an essential capability that enables organizations to maintain productivity, innovation, and employee sustainability in the technology-driven era. This study aims to analyze the relationship between digital workforce agility and talent retention as a strategic approach to human capital transformation. The research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach through a literature review of recent studies published between 2022 and 2026 related to digital transformation, workforce agility, talent management, employee engagement, and human resource strategies. The findings indicate that digital workforce agility contributes to talent retention through continuous learning, digital competency development, flexible work systems, and supportive organizational cultures. Organizations that integrate digital technologies with human-centered strategies are better positioned to strengthen employee commitment and maintain valuable talent. Human capital transformation requires not only technological adoption but also organizational readiness to build an agile, innovative, and sustainable workforce.
